Ladéga is a line of conscious minimal outerwear based in London. Defined by bold silhouettes and refined finishes.
Founded in 2024 by Tumisola Ladega-Hewitt, who brings over a decade of design experience, including roles at known brands such as Burberry and Ralph & Russo, as well as a background as a University Lecturer in Fashion Design. At its core, Ladéga embodies craftsmanship, exceptional fabric quality, and refined design. Creating an exclusive offering of timeless outerwear that is both understated and elegant, sophisticated yet simple in a pursuit to be gracefully covered but not hidden.
the vision
The average person today purchases 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago but keeps each item for only half as long. Fast fashion facilitates this demand, producing 12,000 to 65,000 new designs annually, while luxury houses create a more 2,000 to 6,000 designs each year.
At Ladéga, we believe less is more. Based in London, our commitment to slow fashion in a fast city is rooted in addressing the fashion industry's environmental impact of mass consumption.
To combat overconsumption and waste, our approach is intentional and mindful. We believe good things take time - so we release a maximum of 12 new designs per year, designed across each season, focusing on purpose and longevity.
We utilize deadstock fabrics to minimize waste, sourced from other fashion houses, and primarily follow a made-to-order strategy to eliminate stock wastage and overproduction.
At Ladéga, we value integrity and simplicity, and we advocate for conscious consumption. We have no desire to convince you buy things that you don't need… but if you're in need of outerwear, you're in the right place.
the story
I’ve never been one to shout. I grew up in a vibrant Nigerian British culture that I love but I learned over time that boldness doesn’t need volume. There is conviction in intention and a quiet kind of confidence and beauty that speaks without noise, and that belief sits at the heart of LADÉGA.
LADÉGA was born from the idea of being “covered by grace,” shaped by my own journey from shame into freedom and light. I design for women with depth, dignity and story, creating pieces that honour the wearer and allow her to feel seen, secure and empowered.
I don’t believe the world needs more clothing, it needs better clothing but at a limit. The industry has become loud, excessive and disposable. In response I choose restraint: no more than twelve new outerwear designs a year, each crafted with intention, movement and longevity in mind. My aim is to build the perfect outerwear wardrobe, fewer pieces made with clarity and care, to be lived in and loved for years.
This is my vision for LADÉGA, bold, quietly beautiful design with purpose at its core, created to serve women and stand the test of time.
